And this is why it is never a good idea to use a fridge in a hotel room to store your insulin!!!Frio link below has changed - frio available here, orders posted the same day if placed before midday www.funkypumpers.com/product-category/frio-cooling-wallets/This is a picture of the inside of our hotel fridge. Incase you can’t make it out, that is a sheet of ice at the back. Due to a previous frozen insulin holiday disaster many years ago, we now never store insulin in hotel fridges. If we had used this fridge to store insulin, the insulin would have frozen and ruined (the bottles of water we had in this fridge overnight all froze). Whilst away we keep all of our insulin in a frio, we then use this insulin up within 28 days. Please be very careful if using a fridge that is not your own. Please also remember that once insulin is no longer at ‘fridge temperature ’ you should use it up within 28 days. Frios do not keep insulin at ‘fridge temperature ‘, they keep insulin at a safe temperature so that it will not get too hot and start deteriorate.www.funkypumpers.com/product-category/frio-products/ ...
